Extended Access explained…
Extended Access (EA) was put into place to help patients registered within the Surgeries that form the Primary Care Network (PCN) group to book routine appointments outside of standard contractual hours.
This benefits any patients working within these hours or any patients that rely on transport and care of relatives and or friends who work within these hours.
These appointments are booked by your own GP Surgery. Please speak to a receptionist for more information on the availability.
The PCN is continuing to grow to enable the EA to be more flexible with varied appointments with all clinicians rather than just GP’s and ANP’s. A receptionist will be able to inform you of Practice Nurse appointments which allow you to book routine appointments from cervical screening to sutures removals. Pharmacists will be able to do more convenient telephone calls to review your medication without you having to take time off work or coming to the Surgery
Please see below the extended access opening times on a weekly basis. These appointments are available at 1 of 2 of your PCN Surgeries – Brook Medical Centre or Endon Surgery. We also have clinicians who work these hours remotely and can offer telephone appointments with patients.
