Nursing Associates

Our Nurse Associates are able to assist both GP’s and Advance Nurse Practitioners on recording patients observations such as blood pressures, temperatures and pulse etc. and then liaising with GP’s/NP’s on the patients outcome to ensure patients safety is maintained at all times.

The nursing associates working closely across 4 main areas;

  • Adults
  • Children
  • Mental Health
  • Learning disabilities

A nursing associate is a stepping stone for the individual to become a registered nurse if desired. They are based in the community via a GP or can be based in care homes or hospitals. Each nursing associate cover the specified areas. However, some can be more specialised in a specific area for example, ophthalmology. They are then able to assist with setting up consultations.

Please follow the link for individual Nurse associates stories of how they became a NA and their next planned steps in their career.
