In 1992 the United Nations (UN) called for the international day of celebration for people living with disabilities

Although UN have been committed to bringing awareness around the inclusion and accessibility for disabled people since 1945 – it is not owned by them. It is owned by everyone, people with of all abilities, organisations, charities – YOU.

It is a day to celebration of those living with disabilities and the challenges they face yet conquer. The observance day aims to promote understanding for all to what challenges people less abled unfairly yet often face.
