What are the symptoms of Ovarian Cancer?

  • Constant bloating (swollen tummy)
  • Feeling full quicker than normal or not wanting to eat
  • Pelvic/abdominal pain (pain from the tummy to the top of thighs)
  • Needing to wee more often

These will usually be new for you – not something that has happened before.

It will usually happen a lot through 1 month, it may be a good idea to monitor/write down your symptoms and work out the frequency of them.

If you are regularly experiencing these symptoms, it does not mean that you have ovarian cancer. However, it is always best to get checked by a clinician sooner rather than later.

What tests are used to check for ovarian cancer?

  • Blood tests
  • Ultrasound scans
  • Transvaginal scan

The clinician will also discuss your family history of cancer and also your general health. From smoking, alcohol status etc.
