There are 2 types of lung cancer;
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)
Symptoms;
- A hoarse voice
- A cough for 3 weeks or more
- A change in a cough that you have had for a long time
- A chest infection that does not get better
- Coughing up blood
- Extreme fatigue
- Chest or shoulder pain
**please note ** Having one or more of these symptoms does not mean that you have lung cancer. However, it is always best to get checked by a clinical professional at your GP Surgery.
Lung Cancer Screening
The NHS are beginning to implement lung cancer health check. The NHS aim to offer this to people over 55 years old who smoke or who is an ex smoker and to catch it as early as possible if needed.
