You don’t always need to see a GP – there are other clinicians which may be able to help and with a shorted waiting time.
When you contact the GP Surgery the Receptionist will ask a reason for the appointment. This is not because they are been nosey – this is because they are trained to care navigate, this means that there may be other clinical staff or agencies (such as the Pharmacy) that can help with your problem.

If you wish to see a GP when your surgery is closed, don’t forget you can use the Out of Hours service — NHS 111. Alternatively, you can book an appointment in advance or on the day by calling your normal GP receptionist and requesting an appointment at one of our hubs.
PLEASE DO NOT submit any medical enquiries via this form (this includes request for sick-notes (fit notes), blood tests, referral to onward services, and medication requests which are not on your repeat list). For these, you must either call your practice to book a telephone call with a doctor or download and use the NHS App.
