Most headaches go away on their own and are not usually a sign of anything serious. Typically headaches will go within half an hour to and hour. If your headaches last longer for this and continue to come and go then please contact you GP.
How to ease your headaches;
- Drink plenty of water
- Rest
- Take over the counter painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen
- Try to stay at home
- Avoid bright lights
- Avoid electronics – mobiles or tv’s
Seek urgent medical attention if;
- Your vision becomes blurred
- Numbness anywhere in the body
- Headache with vomiting
- Your headache doesn’t improve with painkillers
