In December 2024, Whitfield PCN were one of 6 Primary Care Networks within Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Intergrated Care Board to receive some additional funding for creating a sustainable women’s health hub.
The intention of the hub is to provide women with enhanced levels of care, which are outlined below:
- Menstrual problems – Assessment & Treatment including Endometriosis, PCOS
- Menopause – Assessment & Treatment
- Contraception
- Fitting of LARC for non-contraceptive purposes
- Pre-conception care
- Breast pain assessment & care
- Pessary fitting & removal
- Cervical screening
- Sexual health screening & treatment
These enhanced women’s clinics will be routinely available within your GP practice and our Enhanced Service provision which is Monday to Friday 6.30 to 8.30 pm and Saturdays 9-5.
